Trip to Käsmu Peninsula  Prindi leht
MTÜ Eesti Maaturismi liige

The duration of the ride is 2 days and 1 night

Käsmu is the smallest of the four peninsulas in Lahemaa, only 6 km long and 3 km wide. Käsmu's landscape fascinates with its coast, rocks and forest. Thanks to its rich maritime history it is known all over Estonia as the Captains' Village. Nice sailing ships that were built in Käsmu made the village famous in several ports all over the world. The Maritime Museum in the former School of Navigation (1884-1931) gives a good survey of the local history. You can visit it if You wish.

On the first day we ride 3,5 hours through tiny North-Estonian villages following the tracks that are ideal for horse riding. We reach Eru Bay, where we have a substantial picnic lunch on the beach. After that we ride 1,5 hours across Käsmu Peninsula before we reach Käsmu coastal village. We shall have dinner and spend the night in the nice and cosy guest house Rannamännid, in twin rooms (single or double rooms available by request) with bathrooms. It is possible to have sauna during the night (total 500 EEK = 34 EUR to be shared). You can go for swimming to the sea nearby or take a walk.

On the second day we ride for 3 hours along sandy forest tracks which are perfect for riding and reach Palmse Manor. Here we have lunch in the restaurant of Park-Hotel Palmse. It takes two more hours of riding to reach back home.

The price is 3300 EEK (210 EUR)

The price includes:
*1st day - picnic lunch, accommodation in the guest house Rannamännid in twin rooms (single or double rooms available by request) with bathrooms, dinner in the guest house and horseback riding about 5 hours.
*2nd day - breakfast in the guest house, lunch in the restaurant of Park-Hotel Palmse and horseback riding about 5 hours.
